About This Guide

This guide is intended to quickly bring new users to the point of productivity with the FXOne trading application.   FXOne  is a complete trading platform for FX trading which supports manual click trading, spreadsheet formula based fully and semi-automated trading, and custom dashboard and visual trading tool creation.  Using wizards to add data to a workbook, spreadsheet formulas can be used to make any user defined calculations based around the data, which can be used for analysis, trading or populating visual decision support tools.

System Requirements

In order to ensure proper operation of the FXOne platform, the following system specifications are required:

Microsoft Windows 7 or later

• Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5
• Intel® Core™ i3 (or equivalent processor)
• 8.0 gigabyte of RAM
• 200 megabytes of free hard disk space
• VideoCard/Monitor that supports 1280x1024 or higher resolution with a color depth of 16 bits
• A high-speed (broadband) Internet connection with minimum download speed of 10Mb/s

Installation

In order to install FXOne, download the FXOne.exe package from the FXOne website or obtain the package from your sales representative.   To install the application on the machine where the executable is located, simply double click on the file to begin the installation wizard.  You will be taken through a series of steps as follows:

1. Advance the installer from the introduction
2. If it is not already installed, setup will download the .NET Framework 4.5 from Microsoft.  Accept any security warnings
3. View the FXOne license agreement.  Accept this agreement to continue
4. Verify the installation folder and options and continue
5. Accept any Windows security warnings
6. After completion, verify a shortcut to FXOne is available on the Desktop and in the Start Menu

Product Updates

Each time the application is started FXOne, it will automatically check for a newer version.  If one is available, it will automatically install the software update.   A LiveUpdate dialog will appear onscreen during the update, which will indicate progress.   When the update has completed, FXOne will load normally.

Display text size must be set to "Smaller - 100% in order to prevent overlap elemets of GUI .
